The Speech & Debate Team were back in action this past weekend in Carson City with the following results:

Hayden Gates – 1st place novice Foreign Extemporaneous
DylanTea Carpenter – 2nd place senior Humorous Interpretation, semifinalist senior Lincoln Douglas debate, 4th place speaker
Maddy Trehal – 3rd place senior Impromptu speech, presiding officer and finalist Congressional Debate
Anna Lee – 4th place mixed Congressional Debate
Akira Sabetian – 5th place novice Impromptu speech

The swim team interest and informational meeting will be held on Monday, January 29th during lunch in Room W253 (Mrs. Solum’s room).  If you are interested in information on joining the Damonte Ranch Swim team for the Spring season, please come to this meeting!  Bring your lunch.

Attention Mustangs who are 16 and older– Our annual Valentines Blood drive is coming soon.  Signup now to save LIVES on Tuesday, February 13th during school from 8am-1:30pm in our bloodmobiles.  After you donate, you’ll get a free port a sub and a $10 egift card.  IF you’re 16 then be sure to get a permission slip from the front office or room 226.  Sign up by scanning the QR codes found on the fliers in the hallways.  See Mrs. Norton if you need help OR have any questions.  

Attention SENIORS- Let loose and make some noise.  Your safe and sober Grad Bash for after-hours access and unlimited fun is happening at Universal Studios on Friday, June 7th.  Scan the QR code in the hallways to get more information and a registration form.  See Mrs. Norton in room 226 if you have any questions.

Attention Seniors- Mr. Mustang is back!  Mr. Mustang is designed to be a fair and fun pageant that highlights the character and talents of Damonte’s amazing SENIOR boys!  It is a fun but demanding experience.  Contestants are expected to exemplify the qualities of a role model student and citizen.  They must be in good standing with administration, staff, and the Corral and fulfill all requirements and expectations.  IF you want to get more information and/or would like to be a part of this fun Damonte tradition pick up an application packet in Room 226.  ALL applications are due by 2:40 pm on Friday, January 26th to Room 226.
