WEDNESDAY, MARCH 15, 2023

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS AN “A” DAY

“AND NOW FOR YOUR MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS.”

Spring Break is:

March 20th through March 31st.

We are very pleased to announce that, for the 8th year in a row, Damonte’s Speech & Debate Team has qualified students to the National Tournament to be held in Phoenix in June.

Mathew Petersen, qualifier in International Extemporaneous Speaking, alternate in Senate

Madison Trehal, qualifier in Congressional Debate, 7th place US Extemporaneous Speaking

Samantha Beaubien, alternate in Congressional Debate

The team will be heading to the Nevada State Tournament in Las Vegas in April.

Congratulations to our February AP Student of the Month, Brooke Kabour!  Brooke was nominated by both her AP Lang teacher and her AP Chem teacher.  Here is what her teachers said about her: From Ms. Adkins:  “Brooke has been a model AP student from her first day in class by coming to class prepared, completing her work completed on time, and having a quality of work that stands out amongst her peers.  Brooke holds herself to a high standard, and reading her pieces shows not only her understanding of different writing styles, but it truly shows off the writing style that Brooke has created.”

From Ms. Rutherford:  “Brooke is always prepared, works hard during class and always asks questions when she has them.  These are the most important traits in an AP student.  Brooke also always has kind comment for her teachers and her classmates.”

(Run March 15 & 16)

That’s all for your morning Announcements.

And remember:  Educate, Impower and Inspire

Have a great day, Damonte!
