Grandma Thiede’s Mac and Cheese with a green side salad will be this Thursday.  $3 donation to the Foods and Nutrition program for an amazing meal.  Reserve your plate with Mrs. Thiede in foods room 117.  Again, Grandma Thiede’s Mac and Cheese with a green side salad this Thursday at lunch.

Hello amazing mustang family.  Your Navy JROTC program is hosting a canned food drive in support of our Damonte Ranch community and families during this holiday season.  We are currently accepting non-perishable canned food donations.  Our goal is to collect over a thousand donations.  Financial donations will go to purchasing food items for our local food bank.  Donations can be brought to room 126, 135 or dropped in the receptacle in the front administrative office.  Thank you for all your support.

Attention mustangs- next week is FALALALALA Winter Spirit Week!  

Monday, December 12th– Polar Express- wear your comfy clothes – dress up and get some hot cocoa before school (while supplies last)

Tuesday, December 13th-wear Flannels and fuzzy socks

Wednesday, December 14th– wear Winter Holiday colors 

Thursday, December 15th– it’s Ugly Sweater Day

Friday, December 16th-  – wear blue and green w/ your favorite holiday hats 

Do you want to be involved in student leadership next school year?    Run for a student body officer position.  Campaign packets will be available on Tuesday, January 10th- the day we get back from winter break.  You can pick one up in the main office or in room 226.  See Mrs. Norton if you have any questions.  

Congratulations to the November AP Student of the Month:  Irene Nam! 

Irene was nominated by Mr. Gorsuch for her exceptional work in AP Stats.  Mr. Gorsuch said the following about Irene:  “ Irene is constantly challenging herself to fully understand the concepts in AP Statistics.  This effort on classwork and homework, in addition to her careful attention to detail in solving problems, leads to exceptional test scores.  Irene is also an excellent group member during classwork, – equally comfortable asking questions and helping another student.”  Congratulations, Irene!

Attention Mustangs!!  Your Work Experience electronic hours log and pay stubs are DUE!  Students with Work Experience on their schedule must submit complete electronic logs and chronological pay stubs by next week, Wednesday, December 14th in order to receive credit for hours worked. See your counselor for more info.

The student store staff is looking for you to design the next hoodie!  Submit your designs by December 14th. The winner will receive a free hoodie with their design, $5 to the student store and of course, bragging rights.  Look for the green flyers around the school for more information.

Do you need service hours? Do you enjoy the holidays?  Do you like arts and crafts?

If so, come down to the art room Wednesday at lunch, December 14th and make holiday cards for the community with the National Art Honor Society. Supplies and SNACKS will be provided in room 144.  Everyone is welcome!  (Run Dec 5th-13th )

Would you like to give a gift to a young child who is in need this holiday season?  FCA is sponsoring a Toy Drive for period 7/8 classes.  Toys should be new and unwrapped, and all toys will be given to the Children’s Cabinet, which is a local organization that serves families and students here in Reno.  The Toy Drive runs through Friday 12/9.

J4NG is collecting clean, school appropriate clothing in great condition for our students in need.  Please donate them to the Main Office or Library by December 22.  Thank you.
