Hello amazing mustang family.  Your Navy JROTC program is hosting a canned food drive through Friday, December 16, in support of our Damonte Ranch community and families during this holiday season.  We are currently accepting non-perishable canned food donations.  Our goal is to collect over a thousand donations.  Financial donations will go to purchasing food items for our local food bank.  Donations can be brought to room 126, 135 or dropped in the bin outside of the Main Office.  Thank you for all your support.

Congratulations to the November AP Student of the Month:  Irene Nam!

Irene was nominated by Mr. Gorsuch for her exceptional work in AP Stats.  Mr. Gorsuch said the following about Irene:  “ Irene is constantly challenging herself to fully understand the concepts in AP Statistics.  This effort on classwork and homework, in addition to her careful attention to detail in solving problems, leads to exceptional test scores.  Irene is also an excellent group member during classwork, – equally comfortable asking questions and helping another student.”  Congratulations, Irene!

J4NG is collecting clean, school appropriate clothing in great condition for our students in need.  Please donate them to the Main Office or Library by December 22.  Thank you.

Do you want to be involved in student leadership next school year?    Run for a student body officer position.  Campaign packets will be available on Tuesday, January 10th- the day we get back from winter break.  You can pick one up in the main office or in room 226.  See Mrs. Norton if you have any questions.

That’s all for your morning Announcements.

And remember:  Educate, Impower and Inspire

Have a great day, Damonte!
