Boys basketball:  There will be no open gym TODAY, Wednesday, October 19th.

Last weekend’s race was at Sierra Vista Bike Park.  Congratulations to all of our riders who participated in the race:  Leigh Mayers, Megan Jeffery, Trevor Follett, Malcolm Critchley, Blake Mayers, Grady Hane, Frank Peterson, and Finn Bright.  

Megan held her podium title with a 1st place win!  

Our last race is this Saturday at Hidden Valley Regional Park.  Join us to route on our Damonte Mustangs from 10:00-3:00 p.m.!

Hola amigos: Hispanic Club will have a meeting this Thursday in Mrs. Gutiérrez’s room, 232, during lunch time.  If you are interested in participating in some fun and social activities, come and check us out! Bring your lunch and of course a new friend. ¡Hasta pronto!

Our Annual Fall Blood Drive is this Thursday, October 20th.  Sign-ups are found on the QR codes in the counselor hallway, there are still openings.  If you will be missing class time to donate, please check in with your teacher.  Please remember to eat a hearty breakfast!  See Mrs. Norton in room 226 if you have questions.

Howdy Partners!  Vote TODAY for Mr. Bell’s costume! Wear your Mustang colors Tomorrow and cowboy clothes on Friday!  Thursday during Lunch Mr. Bell will ride a horse to the Corral at the front of the school- everybody come out to support him and get some candy!  Don’t forget your spare change! (Wednesday)

Hi Mustangs! If you are interested in trying out for girls basketball this fall, please make sure to attend the mandatory lunch meeting TODAY, (Wednesday, 10/19).  The meeting will start at 11:15 am in the main gym.  See you there!

The Speech and Debate Team competed in a Tournament at Wooster this past weekend, with the following results:

Nora Downs, 3rd place novice impromptu

Nikita Taylor, 2nd place novice impromptu

Maddy Trehal, 5th place senior impromptu

Michael Chelbana, Congress finalist

and,

Mathew Peterson, 3rd place senior FX and FIRST place Congress

The team meets Thursdays after school in room 201.

Looking for a fun space to eat lunch?  Well, the Asian club is for you!  The Asian club meets Thursday at lunch in room W253.  Everyone is welcome.  Come check us out!

Damonte Ranch High School will practice how to Drop, Cover, and Hold On in the Great Nevada ShakeOut.

Join us in the world’s largest earthquake drill on October 20 at 10:20 A.M.!

Congratulations to Reena Bagchi in qualifying for the Nevada State Girls golf tournament on October 18 and 19.  Reena finished in 8th place in a field of 39 players for the Northern Region girls golf two-day tournament.  Wish her luck as she competes in next week’s state championship.  (Run until 10/21)
